Johnnie began writing lyrics around the age of twelve and has embraced songwriting for more than four decades. Although the seasons of his musical journey have changed, his belief in the power of the written word has remained steady. He uses faith-centered lyrics and meaningful storytelling to create music that gives glory to God while speaking to real people and real experiences.
As a father and grandfather, legacy matters deeply to him. Johnnie sees creativity as one of the gifts he can pass down to his children and grandchildren. Whether through a song, a lyric or a simple word of encouragement, his goal is to make a positive impact and leave an example that the next generation can remember, build upon and carry forward.
